BW Group appoints new CEO

BW is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mr Carsten Mortensen as Group CEO. 

Current BW Group CEO Mr Andreas Sohmen-Pao will join the BW Group Board of Directors and remain actively involved in the group, including on the board of subsidiaries BW Offshore, BW LPG and BW Pacific.

BW has significantly broadened its scope of activity in the past decade across multiple maritime sectors and is well positioned for future growth. Andreas Sohmen-Pao says: “Carsten is an outstanding leader in the maritime sector and is an ideal candidate to lead BW into the next phase of growth. We warmly welcome Carsten to the team”.
